~*~It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.~*~

Tapestry

Scattered pages flying about

Floating midway in the air

I pull one down

Photographs of emotion

Hanging from the ceiling

Leaves rush in from the turret window

Standing, looking at the world below

Roads not yet taken, Walden Ponds to be discovered

Mystery and curiosity suck me in

The room darkens the day waning

Scenery changes

Ocean rushes onto a beach filled with echoes of the past

Ectasy, sorry, frustration all blending into a marbled scarlet sunset

The night seems dark, but slowly,  stars emerge from the sky

Like small candles of light welcoming the Messiah

All is not as it appears in this staged world

Masks disappear, true appearances are revealed to their dukes

The apple, already bitten, must be eaten

My Odyssey awaits

Stepping into a world of unknown

Leaving Troy to deal with its own troubles

The sea nymphs ready to help unveil

mysteries hidden within the deep

The web left to the fates

Rhapsodes of life waiting to be woven

The trunks heaved onto the boat

Pages and photographs assimilate into one

Personal memory tucked away for safekeeping

The journey begins

Slipping away into the wrinkles of time

*May the wind always be at your back, and the sun always upon your face, and may the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.*

We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploration will be to arrive where we started, and know the place for the first time.

One of the most adventurous things left to us is to go to bed. For no one can lay a hand on our dreams  ~
